Wonderful, service was perfect and the fish amazing. We tasted several dishes and each one was delicious. The staff was really nice and helpful, we had a small struggle with our taxi and they were ready to help. Thank you for the amazing evening.

The ambience was nice. Service was also nice. Forgot to take pic of the food. We ordered nigiri and some chirasi. The taste is good, fresh and savory. The cut was also good. But its quite pricey here. The place also clean

Came here with husband on a quiet Saturday night. There’s adequate space for car parking, but if it’s full, you’ll have to park on the roadside. There'll be random people acting as if they're the parking attendant - make sure to look for the official ones sent from the restaurant if you plan to dine. The place was quite huge, dimly lit, and beautifully decorated with Christmas-themed ornaments. Only several tables were filled with quests and all were enjoying their food calmly. Staffs were friendly and very casual, even though the restaurant itself looks more formal than they let on. They offer a wide arrange of Japanese cuisine, with some special menu only displayed on a measly tent card (we believed some of these require more of a highlight, because had we not checked what's on it, we wouldn't find the lovely gem we're about to expound below). We tried: Special Kaisen Salad: 7.5/10⭐ Otoro Yuzu Truffle Roll: 6.8/10⭐ Otoro Miso Soup: 7.2/10⭐ Otoro SUMO Sushi Roll: 8.2/10 (seasonal on a tent card, not on their regular menu) All of the fish cuts we're served were good. Though they weren't the freshest (some didn't hold their shape quite well), they're still quite firm, juicy and bouncy. We merely attributed it to our late dining time. No fishy smell was present in any of the dish. They're still delicate and beautiful to eat. Out of all the dishes we've tried, Otoro SUMO Sushi Roll definitely took the spotlight. The cuts were LARGE, placed on top of an already huge sushi roll that I could barely fit in my mouth. They were delightfully chewy, fat, springy, and umami Due to its sheer size, we had the fullest experience of tasting what good Otoro was like. My husband thoroughly enjoyed the quality and portion size, even said we could revisit this restaurant in the future just for the Otoro and order nothing else. The price might be high, but for us, it quite justified the experience. The Otoro Miso Soup was fragrant, umami and warming. The Kaisen Salad was okay - originally they'd serve it with shrimp, but since the shrimp's sold out, we were offered to replace it with Tuna sashimi. The Yuzu Truffle Roll offered a pretty good flavor balance, with the yuzu sweetness being especially pronounced. The portion of this roll is also quite big - just one piece can fill your entire mouth up - but we found the fish cut on this roll lackluster. They were inconsistent in size, some being tissue-thin and even see-through. Other notable things we discovered that perhaps can be improved: - The Miso Soup was served hot, but in a plastic bowl. A bowl made from ceramic, clay, or glass would not only hold the soup better, but also suit the Japanese theme of the restaurant more. Microplastics could be another issue if you specifically choose higher-end restaurants like Shinkai Toro expecting for their nuance and attention to detail. - All of the plates that got served on our table were oily and slippery. That much oil on a plate could only source from either cooking smoke (which would suggest exposed utensil storage, or one that's placed a bit too close to the cooking station), improper handling during plating, or unhygienic cleaning procedure. - Some plating of the dish was a bit sloppy (aside from the inconsistent cut size, in both of our rolls there were loose cuts lining out of the sushi deck) All-in-all, still a beautiful restaurant to dine in for its ambience and service. For food, we'd certainly recommend just the Otoro SUMO Sushi Roll, and deeply hope it will stay as a permanent menu

Really nice Japanese spot — the sushi here is surprisingly good! The fish tastes fresh, the rice is seasoned just right, and everything’s neatly presented without trying too hard. You can tell they pay attention to detail, from the knife cuts to the balance of flavor in each piece. Tried a few rolls and some sashimi, and all were consistently fresh and well-prepared. The portions are reasonable, not too small, and the price feels fair for the quality. The place itself has a calm, cozy vibe — perfect for a quiet lunch or dinner. Service was polite and efficient, and everything came out quickly. If you’re looking for a spot that serves good, honest sushi without the overpriced gimmicks, this place is definitely worth visiting.

It has three floors, with several VIP rooms on the third floor and a small garden on the second floor that's better lit than the first. This place is super accessible for everyone, with a wheelchair-friendly entrance that includes a smooth, accommodating pathway from the moment you walk in. They also have a lift, making it easy to navigate between floors. The service is good, and the staff is attentive. The security is also very helpful. The food is generally delicious. I tried a sushi roll and salad, both of which were great. However, the rock shrimp mayo was just okay, tasting like regular fried shrimp. The Beef Hobayaki was excellent, with tender meat. We'll definitely be coming back. Update: We came back and tried the Otoro Aburi Roll, it was delicious! One of the better rolls I’ve had here. Some of the other menu items have a bit too much mentai for my taste, so the flavor gets a little lost. But that’s a personal preference. Still a solid spot, and we’ll definitely be returning again. Update: I came back again and tried the Otoro Sumo Sushi Roll, the sashimi was thick and satisfying. I also tried smoked duck sushi for the first time, it was pretty good and had a nice smoky aroma. We also ordered the Tsujihan, and it was not bad. It was supposed to come with uni, but I forgot to take a photo of it. Still a solid place overall!

Everything was good the first time I got there (except for the oyakodon, it was soo dry). Second time, ordered some of the same dishes and got smaller portions and worse cuts. Not sure if it’s because we were not as nicely dressed the second time. Even got complimentary sashimi the first time. Salmon sashimi was great, otoro not so much compared to the price.. idk if we just got a bad cut. Abura soba tasted great both times, carbonara not so much.. tempura and other fried stuffs were tasty. Vanilla toast dessert was great the first time, second time not so much. Not very consistent I guess. Went on thursday the first time and monday the second time, both times not crowded. Expect to spend 300-500K+ per person.
